When placing the order, you will be able to choose the specific location that you want your virtual address to be set up in.
A: We are planning to add Ottawa, Waterloo, Brantford, St-Catharines, Downtown Toronto, Laval/Montreal, Halifax, Edmonton and Vancouver/Surrey among other Canadian locations in the coming 6-24 months. At this time, however, our services are only available in Cambridge, Hamilton, Oakville and Markham (Greater Toronto Area).
A: Absolutely. You will be able to change location at no extra cost with no change to your existing contract. We will be sending email announcements to existing customers each time a new location becomes available.
Q: Can I use this address to register my business?
A: Yes once you subscribe to our virtual address service, you will be able to use it as official address to register your business
Q: Is this a PO Box or a physical address?
A: All our locations are physical, street addresses in Canada. We do not offer PO Boxes, which are available at Canada Post.
Q: When can I start using the service?
A: You can use the address the same day you sign up and get approved.
Q: How do I sign up for this virtual address service?
A: First step is to select a plan and place an order online. After payment is confirmed, you will received, typically within 1-2 hours, or the next business day if order is placed after hours, a welcome email with your assigned mailbox number, and requirements to activate your service (Step #2). The two requirements are ID verification and signing the service agreement, which will be sent to you via email. Once these two requirements are completed, your mailbox is active (Step #3)
Q: Rather than signing up online, I prefer to receive an invoice. Is that possible?
A: Sure thing. Contact us today and we will get you set up.
Q: How will I know that I have received a new mail?
A: You will receive an email and SMS notification whenever a mail addressed to you is received
Q: Do you charge extra for notifications?
A: Nope. You will never be charged for email or SMS notifications.
Q: How do I pay for this service?
A: By signing up on our website, you will be able to pay directly by credit card. We can accommodate alternative payment methods such as Interac (etransfer), cheques (CAD only), Paypal, Money Transfer and even virtual currencies. Please contact us to discuss if needed.
Q: Do you offer refunds?
A: Orders cancelled within 7 days of signing the service agreement can be refunded in full, provided that the address has not been used for any purpose. No refund will be provided for orders cancelled after 7 days of activation.
Q: Can I use this address as my permanent address?
A: As this is not a residential location, you are not allowed to use this address as your permanent address for identification purposes.
Q: Can I use this service to receive my Amazon orders and other packages?
A: You can receive up to 10 packages each month for free with each plan, and for extra packages in the same month you will be charged $3 each. If you plan to use your virtual address to receive online orders and expect to receive more than 10 packages a month, you may consider signing up through our sister company Beavership which offers a full service package reception and storage service plans with higher limits.
Q: Can I pick up my mail in person?
A: You can pick up mail in person at our stores. You will be able to schedule a pickup from your notification email. Pickup requests are mandatory for our Hamilton and Oakville locations. Walk-ins are accepted for our Cambridge location although you are advised to submit a pickup request online or call prior to coming to ensure there is an associate present at the store at the time you come.
Q: Can you forward a mail or package received at my mailbox?
A: Yes absolutely, we offer mail and package forwarding services to addresses in Canada, the United States and Internationally. The cost is $5 plus the courrier fee. We can also consolidate multiple letters and/or packages for forwarding with no extra consolidation fee.
Our Cambridge flagship store is our primary location for international shipments. If you expect to be receiving packages that need to be shipped overseas, please select that location when signing up for faster processing.
Q: I am based outside Canada. Can I use your service?
A: Yes absolutely, we welcome international clients. International clients are advised to choose our Cambridge location for faster processing.
Q: What is the difference between aliases and recipients?
A: Aliases are other names similar to one's primary name. For Robert Johnson, aliases might be Rob Johnson or Bob Johnson. For Paradise Canada Incorporated, aliases might be Paradise Inc, Paradise Toronto (if they have a branch in Toronto or use this as business name) or Paradise.ca (if that's their website). Recipient would be a different person, such as a spouse, a friend, a colleague, or a different company (for the Unlimited plan).
Q: Can I list another company under the Value Plan as an additional recipient?
A: No, the Value Plan only allows for a single company. If you need to use the service for an additional company, please order a second Value plan account or an Unlimited plan account, which allows up to 5 companies.
Q: Can I list another company as recipient on the Unlimited plan?
A: Yes, the Unlimited plan comes with 5 recipients included, and these recipients can be companies. All companies under that plan will be sharing the same mailbox number. If you need to assign a different mailbox number for another company, you will need to purchase a separate plan. There is also a limit of 5 companies for that plan, therefore you cannot add more companies as recipients under the same plan.
Q: I have signed up for the Value plan for my company. Can I receive mails addressed to my personal name under the same plan?
A: Yes this is allowed.
Q: Do you charge for discarding junk mail or shredding unneeded letters?
A: These are always free at My Virtual Address.
Q: Are your prices in USD or CAD?
A: As a 100% Canadian-owned and operated company, all prices listed on this website are in Canadian Dollars.
